QA and Release Manager

We're looking for a QA and Release Manager to join our team.

As QA Manager, you have a demonstrated track record of managing a successful QA team, both in-house and with flexibly staffed teams, in an environment with multiple, short project lifecycles and have experience managing both internal and external resources. Moreover, as a Release Manager, you will be responsible for the effective deployment, execution, and administration of policies, procedure,  and tools that support the Release Management process.

Responsibilities

  • Work with other departments to ensure QA efforts and expectations are fully aligned
  • Releasing and maintaining internal releases across all projects and platforms
  • Oversee testing in SCRUM teams and test automation
  • Train and coach staff for improved performance, evaluate performance and support team career progression
  • Create, implement and enforce testing policies, procedures, and standards for the QA team
  • Develop, implement and track key performance metrics for the Engineering team

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science in a related field with at least 10 years of progressive technical testing experience in the software development field preferably with software product companies
  • 3 to 5 years of QA team management experience
  • 2-4 years of test automation experience using Selenium WebDriver required.
  • 2+ years of testing in a Java environment required.
  • Experience in manual, test automation, performance testing, using various popularly known tools in the industry
  • Demonstrated success managing and motivating a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and software development life cycles
  • Experience in defining, designing, communicating, and presenting quality metrics to cross-functional teams as well as upper management
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High degree of self-initiative
  • Strong leadership skills
